Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) used for the treatment of acid-related disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy. It provides potent and sustained gastric acid suppression by reversibly blocking the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells.
