Montelukast Sodium is a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) indicated for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma, prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and relief of allergic rhinitis symptoms. It works by blocking cysteinyl leukotriene receptors, thereby reducing airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction.
