Desloratadine is a long-acting, non-sedating antihistamine used for the relief of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It selectively antagonizes peripheral H₁-histamine receptors, reducing allergic symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and nasal congestion without causing drowsiness.
