Ranolazine is an antianginal agent used for the chronic management of stable angina pectoris. It works by inhibiting the late phase of the inward sodium current (late INa) in cardiac cells, thereby reducing intracellular sodium and calcium overload, improving myocardial relaxation and oxygen efficiency.
