A fixed-dose combination antimalarial containing Artemether (an artemisinin derivative) and Lumefantrine (a long-acting aryl amino alcohol). It is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria. Artemether provides rapid parasite clearance, while Lumefantrine prevents recrudescence by eliminating residual parasites.
